Video #2 is now complete. I just did a video on how to make a steak Caesar salad. Here are the quick and easy recipes for the croutons and the dressing that I mentioned in the video.
Croutons
stale bread cubed
salt & pepper to taste
1 TBSP garlic
olive oil
dried parsley, optional
cayenne pepper or Cajun spice to taste, optional.
Preheat the oven to 350* F or 180* C.
Any kind of bread will do, and you can cube it any size you like. Use a serrated knife and cut your bread into bite-sized cubes.
Toss the bread cubes with all the other ingredients and place them in a single layer on a baking pan.
Bake for about 12-15 minutes, then stir the pieces around and continue to bake for another 12-15 minutes, or until the croutons are crispy. Remove from the oven and enjoy in your favorite salad. Feel free to play around with different spices and herbs too. Have fun with them.
Easy Caesar Dressing
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 TBSP Dijon mustard
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt
2 TBSP lemon juice
1/3 cup olive oil
And now the video that shows how to put everything together. I used steak for this particular salad, but you can have the Caesar salad as is, or you can top it with chicken, shrimp or salmon too.
Hail Caesar! Stay safe and stay well Everyone. ‘Til next time.
Awesome job Jeanne! You certainly are a saucy girl and you teach me so many new things! I’m off to buy an egg slicer now!💜💜

Love the technique lessons. How to peel the egg easily and the egg slicer. I also liked the way you cut the lettuce. Different than my method. I hope you will be sure to keep doing techniques on your future videos. Thanks Jeanne!

It looks like you are having fun, and fun is infectious, even more than the virus. We are making perch shishkebabs today, and I am making Ceasar salad, inspired by your video, darling! The Boss is getting some nice wines, meanwhile.

Julia would certainly agree! I remember as a kid watching her shows with my mom and I thought there was nothing more fancy than suggesting all those exotic wines to pair with the meal. I don’t think anyone else had done that, so it’s another way she broke ground! Mom even went out and bought a bottle of white wine to go with Sunday brunch omelets, something she had never even thought of doing before!

The salad was first made for an actor? I had no idea.
Cesar salad is meant to be with anchovies? I had no idea.
The things I learn from you…
I like a lot of dressing with my salads, too. And no eggshells, either.
If you don’t want to, you can send me to Spain for your oil. It’s a hassle, but I’ll do it for you. Hahahahha

You would do that for me?????? WOW!!!! Go all the way to Spain for more olive oil, just for me?
You and I, we make a pretty darn good team. 🙂
