I don’t know what’s going on here lately, but there are an awful lot of awards coming my way from all of you. I don’t think I am worthy of all this praise and attention, but many, many thanks all the same. This latest award mention is the Mystery Blogger Award. I was nominated for this not just once, but twice within a few days of each other. Once by by sunipukadiyil at https://fragrantflowersandrecipes.blog and the second time by Ink ’em Down
It is a big, huge honor to be recognized by all of you. All I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you. I am glad you enjoy my blog “A Jeanne in the Kitchen”. It is possible because of all of you. Thank you for your support, your kind words, and your attention.

“Mystery Blogger Award” is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion.

3 Things About Me:
I don’t know if there are 3 things still left about me that you don’t already know. HMMMMM …….
- I love guitar. I am not very good at it, but I enjoy playing it. I am much better at appreciating good guitar music and good guitar players than I am at playing it though. I love all kinds of guitar music, but I especially love Spanish classical guitar and flamenco.
- I am an only child, but I have many, many fabulous friends who have become my “family” over the years.
- I absolutely hate to fail at anything, so I will always give it my best, even if it kills me in the process.
My 5 Questions to You:
- What is your favorite style of music?
- Do you have any hobbies?
- What is your favorite thing about yourself?
- What is your least favorite thing about yourself?
- Who would you like to most spend an evening with? It could be anyone, dead or alive and why?
I am now adopting Goldie’s philosophy of only nominating a few people at a time. Otherwise I get overwhelmed at the responses. I want to get to know you all, and at some point, I believe we will all get to know each other, but all in due time. So, this round of nominees include:
-
@cyranny
-
@nilzeitung
-
@ourlittlevalleyhouse
Of course you’re worth it!

Sure, blame it on me. I have a ton of hate email from people who thought they would have been nominated if it wasn’t for MY idea. Just kidding. LOL.
I often wonder if I am repeating myself. Weather in my Award posts on in my HW pieces. But you know, what? We cannot remember everything we said. Plus, there are people who read this post but were not here to read the previous one. Or maybe something you say today will be seen in a different light today and help someone who was not ready back then.

We’ll take the blame together, how’s that sound? 🙂 I love your posts. Just keep on doing what you’re doing and all will be just fine. 🙂

I found your blog via Suze’s blog, looked around and liked it! You are a Genie in the kitchen, maybe I can take some of your recipes and Ketofy them 😉
I’m an award-free blog, there’s simply not enough time in the day, however, I like your questions and wanted to answer if that’s ok with you. I could not seem to copy just those 5 questions, so I’ll just provide my answers by number.
1) Rock…preferably hard rock like Korn and Alice in Chains
2) My hobbies are writing (obviously since it ain’t payin the bills), Diamond Art painting, and coloring in adult coloring books.
3) My favorite thing about myself is my personality…I’m generally easy-going, quick to smile, and kinda silly.
4) I have always hated looking at myself and my body, I think I have serious body image issues and I hate that I can’t get comfortable with the fact that I’m aging (not so gracefully) and just be happy with the skin I’m in. Does that make sense?
5) I’m sure I could list a ton of celebs I’d like to spend the night with, but my mom who passed in 2014 is my answer…I never got to say what I needed to say and I have so many regrets over all of that.

Hi Kim Smyth. Nice getting to know you. I loved your answers. I always say the more the merrier. I would love it if you “ketofied” some of my recipes. In fact, since I do not know much about Keto at all, I would LOVE it if you would take pictures through the process, and at least one picture of you, with your contact info so I could feature you as my next guest chef. That would be awesome if you would like to do that. if you decide to do this, send everything to my personal e-mail address at ljbjej@q.com. Thanks. And again, nice to meet you. 🙂

That is so awesome and thanks, I would love to do that…just as soon as I’m healed up enough to get back in the kitchen! I was proud of myself today just for making a smoothie, lol. The scooter helps, cause I can’t do anything on crutches. I can’t wait though, and thanks for extending the invite! 😊

You are very welcome. Get well soon. Ankles or knees?

Both, and back! I’m a hot mess! It’s been a rough year, hopefully the next couple of months will see me healed up!

Been there done that. 2 1/2 years ago, I had 2 I ruptured my ACL and cracked my tibia plateau on one leg, and had reconstructive ACL surgery, then a couple of months later I broke my wrist, and as soon as I was out of my cast, I had a total knee replacement on the other knee, and while I was doing all my pre-op stuff, they thought I had thyroid cancer. I’ve been there too. It does get better. Have faith. Hang in there.

Oh my goodness, you had a year like I’m having! As soon as the ankle fracture is healed, I’m to have knee surgery but I’m not over the sciatica from the back injury that happened in between! Ugh, well what’s one summer shot right? I’m so glad you got all healed up!

Thank you. You will too. One thing I really strongly recommend, is to do ALL your therapy, and then continue to do so after your are released by your doctor. You have to stay active. Get well soon. I will send good, loving, healing thoughts your way. 🙂
