Usually my lakes are full of Egrets in the warm spring and summer months, but rarely do I see them in the fall. That is, until now. This year, I have seen quite a few fall Egrets. Though to be honest, we’ve only had one cold spell so far. For the most part, our fall has been very mild and warm so far. That may be why the Egrets have decided to stay for a while loner. Though I have noticed they have their feathers ruffled a bit more, like they are putting on their winter coats. Either way, I guess they like it here and have decided to make our lakes their permanent home. And that is perfectly OK by me. π

Have a great day and make everyday great. Stay safe and stay well. ‘Til next time.
Oh my, they do look a little chilly. π This has been an unusual fall in Kentucky, too. But “I have no egrets.”

Those are great photos of egrets. Our late Leonberger Bronco loved to chase birds, ducks, egrets, etc., in a local lake called White Rock Lake. He had fun and in the end he had no egrets.

It sounds like he may be chasing them to his heart’s content now again too. π
