It was such a beautiful day out, so Larry and I took Juneau out for a long walk too. We took her out to the open space behind our house too. She doesn’t get to venture out there too often. But It was just so beautiful, we just felt like taking a longer walk than usual. So glad we did too. π
Yes, this gorgeous view is just a short walk from behind our house.

There were so many feathered and fury friends out too. We saw a coyote out in the distance, but we couldn’t get a good shot of him. He looked like he was thoroughly enjoying himself though. He was even rolling in the grass, just like Juneau does.
The prairie dogs were out enjoying the day,

as well as a Says Phoebe.

I even saw an American Kestrel way up high. I love all the birds of prey. I think they are some of my favorite birds. They just seem so majestic to me. Kestrels are small ospreys.

As you can see, it was a gorgeous day, and a lot of our furried and feathered friends were out enjoying the day too.
How delightful! I love the image of a coyote rolling in the grass!
Remind me where you live…?

I wish I could have gotten a few pictures of the coyote. We live in Colorado, right smack in the middle of Denver and Boulder. π

I live in Kentucky, but about once a year I go join my sister, who lives in Arizona, and we take a “sisterly adventure” in her motor home. We have been to Colorado on at least one of our trips. It would be fun to meet you someday. π

What a lovely blog post! It sounds like you had a wonderful walk and saw so many beautiful creatures. I’m curious, what inspired you to take Juneau out to the open space behind your house? Do you make it a regular habit or was it just a spontaneous decision? Looking forward to hearing more stories about your furry and feathered friends in the future!

We like to walk out to the open space as mush as possible. It is dependent upon weather and mad, as well as timing. π
