Thank You Veterans – 11/11/25

Sometimes, the best way to honor those who served, and to those we lost is to remember the past.

Thank you to all the brave men and women who served and continue to serve today. You are all heroes in my eyes and in my heart.

This is my daddy in his Australian Army uniform, circa 1940. He was a very young lad when he was shipped off to fight in North Africa, and returned home a man.

In Flanders Fields

BY JOHN MCCRAE

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved and were loved, and now we lie,

In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you from failing hands we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow

In Flanders fields.

May we never forget those who fought for our freedoms. May we always honor those who sacrificed and those who gave their all.
