Nature Walks – The Pelicans Are Back
Yesterday was the first day I saw the pelicans. I saw about 6 flying in formation up above, but I did not have my camera with me, so I could not take any pictures. I was able to get some pictures today though. These pictures were taken right from my deck.
I love it when all my beloved furried and feathered friends come back for the season. It always makes me so happy.
I have worked in the restaurant and catering industry for over 35 years. I attended 2 culinary schools in Southern California, and have a degree in culinary arts from the Southern California School of Culinary Arts, as well as a few other degrees in other areas. I love to cook and I love to feed people.

Wow! Beautiful that you have pelicans just floating past. The only pelicans I have seen are in St James Park in London, they are descendants of some given to Charles I l in the 1500s by a Russian ambassador. X

Now that is very cool! Ours don’t have that kind of pedigree. 🙂

We went kayaking a couple of weekends ago and it was fascinating to watch pelicans fly over and then swoop in to grab a fish.

They are beautiful birds. I don’t think people realize just how big they are either.
