When we go walk-about, we just never know what we’re going to see. Sometimes, we see a whole bunch of stuff, and other times, nothing. But today, we saw a lot and even met 3 “new feathered friends”.
I saw a Harris sparrow, hanging out on the willows.
A Clark’s Nutcracker playing on the rocks.
But my favorite new friend that I met today was a beautiful American Kestrel. Isn’t he just gorgeous?
We saw a couple of bunnies who were trying their best not to be seen.
There were a couple of playful squirrels up in the tree.
And a puma and a panther waiting for us once we got back home.
It was most definitely a good day for a nice walk and a good day for pictures too.
Hey Jeanne, bit later than planned – however – hope you have had a lovely day so far 🙂
Some music for your entertainment .

I would love to see pictures of your Pyshka and Barmalei. What do those names mean?

Here is The Cat Gang: https://youtu.be/P1VEy-iJyUs
Barmalei is a Russian boogeyman (all black) and his sister is called Beba, which in Odessa is short for Bella – beautiful; they are 11 years old. Little Pyshka, who has grown pretty big, is only 3,5 years old., and here is her story: https://koolkosherkitchen.wordpress.com/2017/07/23/pyshka-sweet-roll-and-a-baby-kitten

It does. Now the bare branches serve as a safe haven for the birds. 🐦🐧🐦

What is a panther? What do they look like? And a puma? what are they?

Panthers and pumas are both big cats of the Americas. Pumas are golden and are also known as mountain lions our cougars. Panthers are solid black jaguars, mostly found in the jungle areas of Central and South America. We call our two cats the puma and the panther because Otis is golden, like a puma, and Nicodemus is solid black, like a a panther.
