Eighteen years ago, America suffered the worst tragedy of modern times. It was Pearl Harbor all over again. So many innocent people lost their lives because of the most horrible act we’ve ever seen. Say a prayer for all those who lost their lives on this horrible day in history. Say a prayer for those of us who survived. Say a prayer so this may never happen again. God Bless those who didn’t make it and God Bless those of us who did.
Thanks for the reminder, not that any of us could ever forget.

As I was posting this, tears started streaming down my face. What a horrible day in history. Probably one of our darkest ever.

A tragedy… It’s been 18 years already?! It happened a generation ago. Can you imagine? Now I know how surreal war vets feel when some of the people around them have no idea what they’re on about.

It is such a travesty. I find it very disturbing how quickly Americans and the rest of the world has forgotten.

I will never forget that day and how the days following the sky was silent from no planes flying. I would sit out in our backyard watching my 1 year old and 3 year old play on their swing set while I looked to those silent skies. I worried what kind of a future my children were growing up in. It was a dark time. I remember that morning my friend called to wake me up to turn on the news. I watched the second plane go in the tower live while it happened over my television set. That is when I went to wake my husband. While our kids slept we watched a horrible tragedy unfold. The news the rest of the weeks were constant images of horror. We turned off the television and prayed they would find survivors. Here in Tempe Arizona there are over 3,000 flags up with a story of every victim that died from that horror and that includes the firefighters who contacted cancer from trying to help rescue people in the toxins from the fires. God bless then all and the families of the victims. I still cry about this too Jeanne.

I’ve been watching shows about this all day. And crying most of the time. My heart breaks for the families. I still say a little prayer for them.
