I normally do not like to reblog things too much, especially foods and recipes I have already made and created. However, there are always exceptions to everything. This is one of those exceptions. My husband switched jobs 4 years ago, and when he did, he started a new tradition. He brings in green chili and tamales for everyone he works with to celebrate his work anniversary. It seems to be a popular tradition. Every year, the pot of green chili gets bigger and bigger and it always comes home empty, so I guess they like my green chili. Time for Green Chili The tamales he buys, though I can easily make them. I love to make tamales, however, they are very time consuming to make, and I usually do not have the time to make them for everyone he works with. So a compromise is made. I make the green chili, the tamales he buys and everyone is happy.
Looks delicious and now I’m hungry! I’ve never had green chili but what a sweet thing for you to do for your hubs!💜

Thank you. We love green chili. You’ll laugh at this. Yesterday a friend of mine sent a picture on facebook of green chili from a restaurant she liked, and she claimed it was the best she had ever tasted. It looked like slop on a plate to me, and I had just made a big pot of my own green chili. So I responded saying, “No, I disagree. My green chili is way better than that one”, and I sent a picture of mine. She was a little miffed because I did not agree with her opinion. Oh well. What can I say? I cook all the time, and I have to admit, I am a pretty darn good cook too. 🙂

Hahaha I thought you were going to say, next thing I know someone is ringing my doorbell! 💜 She should have ran right over to steel some of the world’s best green chili! I dont know if they have tomatillos here. Guess I will look around for them.
I’m baking a gingerbread loaf right now and the smell is driving me crazy!🤪

If you cannot find them in your local produce section of your grocery store, ask for them, or go to a specialty shop. OMG!! I love gingerbread. Please send pictures. 🙂

LOL…just joking about the CPA…unless it is your husband’s office so I can get my hands on that green chili and tamales. I am an accountant, but not looking for any more stress, I mean work.
